Terms
Terms
The rules for using these tools.
Short, specific and written to be read rather than skimmed: what you may do here, what happens to what you upload, and where the limits are. Using the site means accepting these terms.
Last updated 23 September 2026
Using the site
- Use the tools for your own work, commercial or personal, at no cost.
- Only upload content you own, control, or have permission to process.
- FileDrops is temporary transfer, not storage or backup.
- Guides are educational; test changes in your own project before shipping.
- The service is provided as-is, without warranties.
ColorMind.space is operated as an independent project. By opening the site you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree with either, stop using the site.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to:
- upload or process anything illegal, infringing, malicious, or that you have no right to handle;
- share credentials, private keys, personal data about other people, or confidential material through FileDrops links;
- probe, scan, overload or bypass the rate limits and access controls on the API — the endpoints are throttled, and expecting otherwise is not a workaround;
- scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for everyone else, or resell the tools as your own product;
- attempt to extract other users' saved items, drops or account data.
We may suspend access, delete drops, or block an address that breaks these rules, with or without notice.
Your files and your content
Your files stay yours. You keep all rights to anything you upload or create with the tools, including the output of the optimizer, converter, resizer and palette tools, and you may use that output commercially.
To operate the service we need a narrow permission: to receive the files you submit, process them for the request you made, and return the result. That is the whole licence, it ends with the request, and it does not include any right to publish, resell, train on, or share your content.
FileDrops: beta limits
FileDrops is a beta tool for temporary handoffs. Links expire on the schedule you choose and can be deleted by you from the owner view. Uploaded files are held on the deployment that served your request — not in a durable, backed-up archive — so a redeploy can remove them.
Treat every drop as temporary and disposable. Do not use it as your only copy of anything, for legal or regulatory records, or for material you cannot afford to lose. Single uploads are subject to a size ceiling, and the numbers are shown in the tool before you upload.
Passwords and the Vault
The password generator runs in your browser, and the Vault encrypts saved passwords before they are stored. What that means in practice:
- We cannot read your saved passwords, and we cannot recover them for you if you lose access to your account.
- Keep an offline copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, such as a recovery code or master credential.
- Generated passwords are only as safe as the device, browser and account protecting them.
A dedicated password manager remains the right home for your full credential set. The Vault is for the handful of things you want next to the tools.
Availability and fair use
The site is provided free of charge and without a service-level agreement. Tools may change, move, or be withdrawn, and the beta features may be changed most often. We aim for the tools to stay available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service — planned maintenance and upstream provider incidents happen.
Public API endpoints are rate-limited per address to keep them usable for everyone. Do not attempt to circumvent those limits; if you need higher volume for a legitimate workflow, write to us and describe it.
No warranty
The tools, guides and pro tips are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Always keep your originals and verify important output. An image that compressed further than expected, a conversion that flattened transparency, or a snippet that behaved differently in your environment is your responsibility to check before you ship it.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ColorMind.space and the people who maintain it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the site.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free service, is nothing) or fifty euros. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction.
Intellectual property
The site's code, design, written guides and pro tips belong to ColorMind.space. You are welcome to quote or link to them with attribution; republishing whole articles, or redistributing the tools as your own offering, is not permitted.
Third-party names mentioned on the site — platforms, formats and competing products — remain the property of their owners, and are used descriptively. ColorMind.space is an independent project and is not affiliated with colormind.io.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the tools change. Material changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
If a term here is unenforceable in your jurisdiction, the rest of the terms still apply. Questions, corrections, permissions, or a licensing request: info@colormind.space.
